Foundation Broken Hill, is a not-for-profit organisation which facilitates employment opportunities and encourages social development in the Broken Hill region, through grants and interest free loans.
The organisation is independent of any government and the voluntary Directors (a mix of current and former residents) bring together extensive business experience and commitment to the region.
The Foundation, to date, has contributed over $1,000,000 to local businesses and community organisations.
Funds for projects come from the interest generated on a protected capital fund, built with donations from businesses and individuals across Australia. All donations to the capital fund are protected and will continue to work for the community in perpetuity.
Financial support is provided to community projects and start-up, emerging or expanding businesses that are compatible with the objectives of Foundation Broken Hill.
The Foundation’s ultimate vision is for a diverse economy that sustains a vibrant, self-reliant Broken Hill.
